If you searched "BeerSheets 2026" and landed on a page that still says "There will be no BeerSheets this year," you probably want to know one thing: is that notice about this season, or is it old?
It is old. Here is the short answer, then the receipts, then the three sheets worth using instead.
The short answer
There has been no new BeerSheets release since the 2022 season, and there was no 2026 announcement — because there was no 2026 decision to announce. The notice you found has been sitting on Football Absurdity's BeerSheet Files page, unchanged, since 2023.
That distinction matters. A lot of "BeerSheets 2026" coverage reads the undated sentence "no BeerSheets this year" and reports it as fresh news every August. It is the same sentence every August.
What actually happened
The timeline, checked against Football Absurdity's own pages and archived snapshots of them:

The notice first appeared alongside an 11 August 2023 post introducing Football Absurdity's own replacement. The last sheets people actually drafted with were for the 2022 season.
Since then the page has never been revised, and the BeerSheet request form is closed. Football Absurdity itself is still publishing regularly in 2026 — so this is an un-revised page on a live site, not an abandoned one — but nothing published there addresses BeerSheets' status either way. Why it stopped is not ours to narrate.
So the honest framing is not "BeerSheets was cancelled for 2026." It is: BeerSheets went quiet after 2022, and the notice explaining that has never been taken down. If it ever comes back, Football Absurdity's BeerSheet Files page is where it would be announced.
Why "2026" is so confusing
Three things compound:
- The notice is undated. "This year" was written in 2023 and reads as current in every year since.
- Content farms fill the vacuum. Search "BeerSheets 2024" and you will find pages confidently announcing a release, several of which get basic facts about the tool wrong. Treat them accordingly.
- The name became generic. "BeerSheets" now gets used for any printable value-based cheat sheet, so a search for it returns tools that were never BeerSheets.
What to use instead
Three real options, and the first two are free.
Football Absurdity Draft Sheet
The replacement built by the people who hosted BeerSheets in the first place, and the most direct successor. Free printable one-pagers for people who want the underlying numbers exposed rather than hidden. You get by-position or single-list layouts, projected positional drop-offs for snake drafts, and a choice of value baselines — their default "BEER+" deliberately compromises between strong starters and a de-risked bench. If you care about which value-based drafting baseline is being used, this is the most transparent of the three.
LeagueFrenzy
That is us, so treat this section with the appropriate suspicion.
Both sheets above ask you to type your league settings in. That works well for common formats. It gets progressively worse the further your league sits from the defaults — and if you are reading a post about custom-scoring cheat sheets, your league probably does sit off the defaults.

No settings transcription, no "close enough" approximation of a rule your commissioner invented.
The one thing none of the free sheets do
Neither competitor syncs to a league. That is the whole difference, and it is worth being precise about when it matters.
If you play 0.5 PPR with one quarterback and a standard flex, a good generic sheet is close to optimal and you should just use one of the free ones. The gap opens when scoring is unusual. In a league paying 2 points per solo tackle, an every-down linebacker can be worth more than a mid-range WR1 — and a sheet built for standard scoring will never show you that, because it is not modelling your league. What to do this week
Drafts peak between mid-August and early September, so pick a sheet and stop researching sheets:
- Standard-ish league? Grab the Football Absurdity Draft Sheet or a Hold-My-BeerSheets one-pager. Free, fast, sufficient.

BeerSheets earned its following by insisting that your league's scoring should determine your rankings, rather than a consensus list built for somebody else's league. That idea did not go anywhere. Only the spreadsheet did.
